I started programming in junior high when my uncle and aunt gave me my first computer for Christmas.

That humble start led to an exciting, challenging, rewarding career in software where I specialized in programming languages, compilers, and distributed systems.

As I aged, my focus shifted from building systems to building teams who build systems, something I like to think of as “meta-engineering.”

Now in retirement, I’m fortunate to spend my time coaching other software people to help them become the best versions of themselves possible.
